Make the Most of Your Hydrafacial

While the HydraFacial MD offers significant benefits as a stand-alone treatment, some of our patients ask about combining this procedure with others to enhance their results further. Some procedures may be performed at the same time as the HydraFacial for patients that have concerns or goals that cannot be met by this treatment alone. At Sapphire Advanced Aesthetics, we offer the following options, to be performed at the same time as the HydraFacial or in a separate treatment session to address all of your cosmetic issues.

Benefits of the HydraFacial MD System

The HydraFacial MD is a four-step treatment in its own right that does not cause any pain or require downtime. The four steps include:

Vortex Cleansing

This step involves deep cleansing and exfoliation of the skin to prepare it well for the rest of the treatment. Outermost skin cells, which typically dull the complexion and clog the pores, are removed during this process.

Acid Peel

The second step of the HydraFacial goes even deeper, using a chemical solution to enhance the exfoliation benefits. A gentle chemical peel is used to remove residual dirt and debris without irritating the complexion.

Vortex Extraction

This painless step removes debris inside the pores eliminating blackheads and impurities that clog the pores and lead to breakouts. The vacuum device is attached to a transparent tube, so you can see what comes out of your skin during this step.

Vortex-Fusion

Once the outer dermis has been thoroughly cleansed and exfoliated, serums and hydrations are fused into the dermis to replenish moisture and nutrients the skin needs to look and feel its best. Serums can be customized to the precise needs of each patient to maximize results.

The benefits of the HydraFacial are both comprehensive and far-reaching. This treatment provides deep cleansing and exfoliation to wake up tired skin, remove impurities and reduce some signs of skin damage. The procedure can be used on oily, sensitive or aging skin without concern over exacerbating problems associated with these skin types. However, there are procedures you can add to your HydraFacial treatment to make the most of your treatment time.

More Wrinkle Reduction with Botox

Botox injections are a common request with the HydraFacial since the facial treatment alone does not significantly diminish the appearance of lines and creases on the upper face. Botox contains a relaxant that works in the facial muscles, easing their activity to smooth away wrinkles caused by making some facial expressions. Botox does not compromise your ability to create natural expressions but does produce a more youthful appearance that often lasts up to three or four months. If you do Botox on the same day as your HydraFacial, it is best to do the facial first and follow up with the injections.

Dermal Fillers Add the Finishing Touch

While the HydraFacial does produce some subtle firming of the skin, it is not sufficient for restoring youthful volume that has been lost or reducing the formation of lines and creases around the nose and mouth. If you would like to get some additional anti-aging benefits at your HydraFacial appointment, you can also schedule injections of dermal fillers at the same time. Some fillers are designed to plump up area of the face that tend to become hollow over time, such as the temples, midface and jawline. Others work to smooth away facial creases around the nose and mouth to create a refreshed look. Like Botox, it is best to administer dermal filler injections once the HydraFacial is completed.

Treating the Face and Body

Most patients choose a HydraFacial to rejuvenate the face, leaving the rest of the body untreated during the appointment. However, you can opt to combine your facial with any number of body contouring and enhancement procedures as well. Laser hair removal, body contouring and skin tightening are all body treatments that can be performed on the same day as your HydraFacial if you like. While the additional therapies may extend your time in our office, you have the advantage of walking out with dramatic results that improve your confidence as well as your appearance.

Taking Your Treatment Home

In addition to the treatment options available at Sapphire Advanced Aesthetics, you can also extend the results of your procedures with us in the privacy and comfort of your own home. Medical-grade skin care products provide numerous benefits for your skin, keeping it replenished of hydration and nutrients for weeks and even months after your treatment. We can recommend product lines based on your skin type and needs.

The HydraFacial is an exceptional treatment when performed alone in our office. However, by thinking outside the box, you can add procedures to the mix that expand your benefits and increase your satisfaction overall. When you come in for your consultation, Dr. Smith will help you devise a treatment plan based on your concerns and your aesthetic goals. She will let you know which treatments are safe to do with a HydraFacial and the best order of procedures to achieve an optimal outcome.
